Paul Mathurin

Paul has had a long career in the fields of Community Relations, Community Development and Race Equality.  During this period he worked in London, Bristol and Gloucestershire. He was given full responsibility for setting up and overseeing the development of various ground breaking projects, including: 

Bristol Community Development Team (Team Leader 

Black Amalgamated Self-Help Project  

The Woodstock Hostel (Home for young Homeless Boys)  

Hammersmith and Fulham Multi –cultural Festival  

Unity Youth Club (The first BME youth Club in Gloucestershire) 

 

These projects proved to be models on which many other projects and other initiatives would follow.  

In addition, Paul has held a number of senior positions, on various local, regional and national boards, including those on which he had been sent as a community representative.

Federation of Law Centres (Management & Directors Board and Company Secretary)  Gloucester Law Centre (founder member & Management Committee Member)  Gloucestershire African and Caribbean Association  (Chair)  Bristol City Regeneration Partnership (Board Member) Community Rep. Gloucester City Council Race Equality Forum (Chair)  Bristol Black Voluntary Sector Development Unit  (Vice Chair)  Bristol Community Growth and Support Association (Trustee and Chair). and many, many others. 

 Paul has always been, and he remains passionate about our vision and our long term objectives for the EMF.  He says that he will not be leaving a single stone unturned, in his desire and quest to assist, in delivering our agreed targets and as widely as we possibly can, particular in the Caribbean, for which he has been given added responsibility.
