Ruth Gee

 

Ruth has been committed to social justice since her days as a Hackney Councillor 1978-1986, which included a period as deputy leader of the Inner London Education Authority. She spent her professional career in education and training, teaching in schools, reperesenting the further education sector through its Association for colleges and Leading a higher education institution, as Chief Executive of Edge Hill College of Higher Education.

In 2000 Ruth started working for the British Council, and in 2003 she went to live in Hong Kong as the British Council’s Director. In 2009 she moved to India to take responsibility for British Council operations in India and Sri Lanka, returning to the Uk in 2011. Ruth has now set up a consultancy company Geelinks Limited  providing services in the UK and India.
